De-code the District

About the Hackathon

Cities are complex systems shaped by energy use, heat stress, and infrastructure decisions. Through this hackathon, AEEE is opening access to its Geospatial Open Building Stack (GOBS) dataset, a high-resolution database of building-level attributes.

Participants are invited to work directly with this dataset to conduct rigorous analysis or develop technical proofs-of-concept that demonstrate new ways to plan, power, and protect urban regions.

Problem Statement

Participants must perform a deep-dive data analysis or develop a working prototype for a selected district or Union Territory that addresses a critical urban challenge using the GOBS dataset.

Participants will work in teams to analyse data or build a prototype for one district or Union Territory using the GOBS dataset, and submit their work for evaluation.
